TATTOO AFTERCARE

Tattoo healing typically takes about two to three weeks.

Once you return home from your appointment, you should remove the plastic wrap from your tattoo and gently wash the area with antibacterial soap. After cleaning, apply a thin layer of your preferred aftercare ointment. We recommend using Redemption All Natural products, which you can find in our lobby, including their foaming tattoo wash and ointment.

During the healing process, it's essential to clean your tattoo and apply ointment two to three times a day.

You can shower as usual, but avoid soaking your tattoo in water for extended periods, like in bubble baths, as this can soften the scabs and cause them to fall off prematurely.

It's important not to scratch or pick at your healing tattoo. If it gets itchy, gently slap the area to help relieve the itch.

Avoid swimming in pools, lakes, or oceans while your tattoo heals, as the chemicals and microorganisms in the water can lead to infections.

Also, steer clear of tanning and excessive sun exposure on your healing tattoo, as a sunburn can cause complications. After your tattoo is fully healed, sunscreen will be your best friend to keep it looking vibrant.

If your tattoo gets stuck to fabric during the healing process, soak the fabric with water until it loosens naturally—don’t pull it off.
